Taking the concerns of troubled teens and providing alternatives to sustain success.
About Our Organization
Greetings from Our Founder Laquesha Brannon Wilkins
tiny Touch of Love, Incorporated (tToL, Inc.) was a thought that manifested over my years of involvement with a diverse population of youth. You can say that I was always that "ear" and was always giving advice and guiding them to brighter paths. I knew that my vision was needed, but was unaware of the level of need. As the years progressed, I gained experiences that were uncommon in the small village that I was reared in.
Currently, we are in a state of EMERGENCY. In one year alone, I have experienced the loss of 10 youth; 3 to senseless murders, 6 charged with murder, and 1 in an accident. The statistics for the county are even more staggering.
Daily I experience many youth that are in need of resources and an outlet to support and foster their creativity, build confidence and character, and mentoring. I am a true advocate for all youth and through my experiences, I have a firsthand view of the risks they face and know of the necessary resources that provide structure, motivation, a nurturing environment, and guidance to more promising futures.
I live my passion. I am actively attentive to the needs of and engage with youth on their journeys (no matter their circumstances). There is much dialogue about what needs to be done and oftentimes funding resources are not available. Now is not the time to wait, instead now is the time for action. Join Us in our efforts to provide that outlet; right now is such a critical time for ALL youth.
It is Our, tToL, Inc.'s, mission to provide services that will enhance the lives of the Youth. We will provide services and work collaboratively with the community to provide youth with resources for success (character building, familial supports, authentic, engaging, and relevant experiences, enhancement of academic skills, decrease violent and risky behavior) We will be vigilant in the further prevention of our deteriorating youth and move toward preservation. This all for the betterment of lives in the future. We place the UNITY back into the commUNITY.
